Who you are contracting with
When you take out a subscription to Unitwise, your contract is with the company named above. Unitwise is a trading name used for this service; it is not a separate legal entity.
The service is a unit-price converter for packaged goods. It is not a price-comparison service, a shopping recommendation service, a source of food-safety or nutritional information, or an assessment of any retailer.
Governing law
These arrangements are governed by the law of Scotland, and you and we agree to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts. Nothing in this removes any right you have to bring proceedings in the country where you live, or to rely on the mandatory consumer-protection rules of that country. The full clause is in the terms of service.
Getting in touch

Complaints and consumer help
If something has gone wrong, please contact us first — most things are settled that way. If you would rather take advice elsewhere:
- If you live in Scotland, free advice is available from Advice Direct Scotland at consumeradvice.scot, which is funded by the Scottish Government. That service is available to residents of Scotland only.
- If you live outside Scotland, contact the consumer advice body in your own country. Wherever you live, the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence continue to apply to you.
- Enforcement in Scotland is a matter for Trading Standards Scotland.
- Complaints about how we handle personal data can be made to the Information Commissioner’s Office. See the privacy notice.
We are not signed up to any alternative dispute resolution scheme, so if a complaint cannot be settled between us the route is the courts. If you live in Scotland and your claim is for £5,000 or less, Simple Procedure in the Sheriff Court is designed to be used without a solicitor.
